Four Days to the Election

From a rally Wed, shot by MaggieMason.

I freaking love elections. Equal parts discussion of important issues and sport.

My prediction: Dems will take the House (with a slimmer that expected margin) and the Senate will be 50/50 – which is to say in GOP hands.

Dems will also pick up 4-6 Governor posts.

Great shot! We have important things on the ballot up here in Oregon; as a soon-to-be teacher, I am especially interested in the measures slated to take away funding from public education. For the first time, I made political calls — we are trying to keep our Dem governor and, so far, he is ahead by a slim margin.

What’s your prediction for Maryland? And what are your thoughts on phone banking? Effective or not? I’ve been calling crotchety old people all day and I’m starting to have my doubts.

I posted my voting story for up here in Montana.

The energy is good – I can barely wait for tonight! If I wasn’t so dog-assed tired from phone banking and organizing, I’d be bouncing!

Great Clinton shot – what an iconic individual…

I will ask your advice the next time I buy a lottery ticket. Good work, Mason!

I was off by one race, but I like my error.

The MD robo-calling and voter intimidation were embarassing and didn’t work. Nice work Cardin folks!

And HOLY CRAP did Montana come through for us. I think that’s the first time I’ve ever said that.
